Green Eyes Initiative

A new federal program that relies on public input to increase sustainability.
Similar to the way a Neighborhood Watch program works, this program relies on community members to report anything that is not sustainable to the appropriate local authority.
This includes:
- Using plastic grocery bags for shopping
- Excessive use of water for gardening
- Not recycling
- Use of environmentally-unfriendly products, such as toxic carwashing soap or pesticides
- Leaving the lights or other electronics on when leaving the house
- Use of disposable eating utensils at neighborhood parties
- Etc.
Violators would first get a warning, and then points would start being deducted from their alloted number of points. If the total points reaches a certain level, then violators must pay fines, perform community service, or show they have become more sustainable to get their points back.
HAHA. Would be crazy wouldn’t it?
